Camp Gilead
The purpose of our camp shall be to assist local churches in the work of evangelism and discipleship through the conducting and hosting of camps and retreats… "THIS MISSION IS POWERFULLY FULFILLED AT CAMP GILEAD. MANY CAMPERS HAVE THEIR FIRST MOMENT OF TRUE SPIRITUAL AWARENESS AT CAMP GILEAD, FOR THE FIRST TIME GRASPING THAT JESUS CHRIST DIED FOR THEM.
OTHERS, WHO ALREADY KNOW CHRIST, ARE CHALLENGED TO GROW AND MATURE IN THEIR FAITH AND TO CONSIDER A LIFETIME OF SERVICE TO GOD. OUR MISSION HAS NEVER BEEN STRONGER." JACK MOYER – DIRECTOR, CAMP GILEAD |
The Bartholomaes
Family: The Bartholomae family – Marco (M.Div., TMS, 2015) & Katrina, Gabriel, Kaleb and Isabelle – serve in both the Evangeliums Christen Gemeinde (ECG) and the European Bible Training Center (EBTC) in Berlin, Germany. European Bible Training Center (EBTC): Marco assists in leading the EBTC (https://www.ebtc.org/), which includes branches in Berlin, Rheinland, and Zurich, where he oversees book publishing, media, conference planning, administration of the Master of New Testament program and the Master of Old Testament program, and various other administrative tasks. Classes he teaches include “Fundamentals of Biblical Counseling” and “Expository Preaching.” Church: Marco also serves in the ECG (www.ecg-berlin.de), leading the youth ministry, along with other teaching and preaching ministries in the church. His main goal in the church is to establish a strong youth ministry with a biblical philosophy of ministry. Thanks to extensive training and certification through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC), Marco also focuses on discipling and counseling in the church. Once these ministries in the ECG are established, we are praying about leading a church plant in a needy area of Berlin. Study: Marco's plan is also to continue his studies at The Master’s Seminary with a Master’s of Theology (ThM), but he will not start until 2016, in order to get settled in Germany first. He will be able to finish the ThM long-distance from Germany, with some additional classes of the Masters Program at the EBTC. Support: To accomplish these things, we are dependent on the Lord to provide financial support for the one-time needs involved in moving back to Germany in May 2015 and getting set up for life there, and also for ongoing monthly support. Thank you so much for your prayer and support as we seek to glorify Christ in these things. The Bartholomae Family |
